Nacido en Australia en 1979, Anthony Lister es hoy una figura destacada del arte urbano. Afincado en la capital australiana, comenz\u00f3 a pintar en la calle a una edad temprana, antes de graduarse en la Queensland School of Art en 2001. Fue su llegada a Nueva York y su aprendizaje con Max Gimblett lo que marc\u00f3 un punto de inflexi\u00f3n en su producci\u00f3n, fusionando arte urbano, pop art y expresionismo. Fue en el movimiento Lowbrow donde el artista se inspir\u00f3 y ancl\u00f3 firmemente su obra. El artista secuestra los c\u00f3digos de la cultura popular, la mayor\u00eda de las veces del mundo del c\u00f3mic americano (Ghost Rider, Batman, Spiderman...) para ofrecer una visi\u00f3n cr\u00edtica y contundente de la sociedad. Sus obras, que combinan superh\u00e9roes desestructurados y figuras grotescas, juegan con las l\u00edneas difuminadas, las sombras y la energ\u00eda de sus trazos. Esta est\u00e9tica \u00fanica le ha valido, por ejemplo, un encargo de Vogue Australia. Su obra sobre telas urbanas puede verse en paredes de todo el mundo (Mil\u00e1n, Nueva York, Los \u00c1ngeles...). Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 representado por numerosas galer\u00edas y parece ser el artista australiano m\u00e1s coleccionado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
