Procedente de la campi\u00f1a flamenca, desde muy temprano desarroll\u00f3 una predilecci\u00f3n por los caminos poco transitados y las trayectorias singulares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras cursar estudios de Econom\u00eda en Brujas, sigui\u00f3 una exigente trayectoria intelectual orient\u00e1ndose hacia la filosof\u00eda del arte y la est\u00e9tica en la Universidad de Helsinki, antes de obtener un m\u00e1ster en Filosof\u00eda en la Universidad de Gante. Esta formaci\u00f3n alimenta en profundidad una pr\u00e1ctica art\u00edstica concebida como un espacio tanto de reflexi\u00f3n como de experimentaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al mismo tiempo, desarrolla una investigaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica personal, explorando una gran variedad de t\u00e9cnicas, desde la pintura en aerosol y la tinta hasta el trabajo con aguja. Esta b\u00fasqueda de los l\u00edmites, tanto sociales como formales, le lleva a dedicarse al tatuaje durante varios a\u00f1os, primero de forma itinerante y luego desde un estudio privado en la costa belga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante casi dos d\u00e9cadas, Mathieu Leenaert ha ido perfeccionando un lenguaje visual riguroso, basado en composiciones monocrom\u00e1ticas, realistas y geom\u00e9tricas. Pero ante la progresiva incorporaci\u00f3n de una cultura antes marginal por parte de la corriente dominante, inicia una ruptura radical. Esta tensi\u00f3n da lugar a un aut\u00e9ntico renacimiento art\u00edstico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin formaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica en artes pl\u00e1sticas, vuelve a la pintura con spray con un gesto instintivo, libre y desenfadado. Como reacci\u00f3n a una \u00e9poca saturada de im\u00e1genes y simulacros digitales, opta por la simplicidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sus grandes lienzos meditativos, construidos a partir de sutiles degradados, abren espacios de silencio y de suspensi\u00f3n. A trav\u00e9s de lo que \u00e9l denomina \u00ababstracci\u00f3n radical\u00bb, su rechazo a toda figuraci\u00f3n y a toda narraci\u00f3n, y la ausencia deliberada de t\u00edtulos, propone una experiencia directa, casi f\u00edsica, del color y la luz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lejos de cualquier interpretaci\u00f3n impuesta, su obra invita a ralentizar el ritmo, a sentir, a enfrentarse a una presencia pura.
