Install\u00e9 dans le sud de la France, il d\u00e9veloppe une \u0153uvre r\u00e9solument contemporaine, \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des disciplines et des techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Form\u00e9 aux arts plastiques et \u00e0 la philosophie \u00e0 Aix-en-Provence, il d\u00e9bute par la photographie avant d\u2019entreprendre un tour du monde. De ce voyage, il rapporte une riche collection d\u2019images, longtemps mises en suspens, tandis qu\u2019il explore en parall\u00e8le les territoires de l\u2019abstraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sa rencontre d\u00e9terminante avec&nbsp;Zao Wou-Ki&nbsp;marque un tournant d\u00e9cisif : elle l\u2019oriente vers une abstraction lyrique, nourrie \u00e9galement par les influences de&nbsp;Antoni T\u00e0pies&nbsp;et&nbsp;Pierre Alechinsky. \u00c0 Arles, ses \u00e9changes avec&nbsp;Lucien Clergueapprofondissent encore sa r\u00e9flexion artistique, l\u2019amenant \u00e0 red\u00e9couvrir&nbsp;Pablo Picasso&nbsp;et l\u2019univers po\u00e9tique de&nbsp;Jean Cocteau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pendant pr\u00e8s de vingt ans, il construit patiemment son langage plastique, \u00e0 travers un apprentissage exigeant et une exploration constante des techniques et des mat\u00e9riaux. C\u2019est finalement en r\u00e9activant ses propres archives photographiques qu\u2019il op\u00e8re une synth\u00e8se singuli\u00e8re entre ses diff\u00e9rentes pratiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les \u0153uvres ultramodernes de C\u00e9dric Bouteiller prennent alors la forme de compositions de photographies num\u00e9riques imprim\u00e9es sur aluminium bross\u00e9, enrichies de collages, dessins, tags ou aquarelles, puis recouvertes d\u2019une r\u00e9sine translucide. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 conf\u00e8re \u00e0 ses cr\u00e9ations une profondeur et une brillance uniques, o\u00f9 le temps semble suspendu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 la crois\u00e9e de la peinture et de la photographie, son travail interroge la perception du r\u00e9el et brouille les fronti\u00e8res entre figuration et abstraction. Par le jeu des superpositions, des textures et des effets de mati\u00e8re, obtenus notamment au couteau ou \u00e0 la spatule, il transforme l\u2019image en surface vivante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ma\u00eetrisant le num\u00e9rique comme un v\u00e9ritable m\u00e9dium pictural, il sublime aussi bien des lieux embl\u00e9matiques que&nbsp;New York,&nbsp;Shanghai,&nbsp;Paris&nbsp;ou&nbsp;Marseille, que des fragments du quotidien. Un regard, un d\u00e9tail architectural, une enseigne ou un simple tag deviennent les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u2019une narration visuelle po\u00e9tique et contemporaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aujourd\u2019hui, l\u2019\u0153uvre de C\u00e9dric Bouteiller est expos\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019international, de&nbsp;Venice&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;Los Angeles, en passant par&nbsp;Athensou&nbsp;Mykonos.
